Legálitas acquires KPMG Impulsa to grow in the SME market
Legálitas takes another step forward in its strategy to become a multidisciplinary firm. The company led by Luis del Pozo (pictured left), has reached an agreement to acquire KPMG Impulsa, a business area of the professional services firm that specialises in the outsourcing of accounting, labour and tax management services for the self-employed and SMEs, as well as other administrative procedures. The transaction represents a strategic step for Legálitas, reinforcing its capacity to offer comprehensive solutions to small and medium-sized companies, as well as to entrepreneurs who want to start their activity.
Legálitas is the leading legaltech company in Spain, providing legal assistance services to more than two hundred and fifty thousand families and now eleven thousand SMEs. It manages more than one million legal advisories every year and its experience accumulated in twenty-five years democratising legal advice has allowed it to observe how its clients also demanded that the legal advice they received be complemented with a service related to the management of their business activities,
Juanjo Cano (pictured right), president of KPMG in Spain, explains that “in our strategy of continuous search for initiatives that add value to SMEs and entrepreneurs, we began to explore synergies between KPMG Impulsa and Legálitas to continue helping this key segment of the economy in its growth and competitiveness, which now materialises with this transaction”.
This is the first transaction after Portobello Capital acquired a majority stake in the legaltech firm in August 2021 for around €118 million, around 80% of the capital. Plans were announced at the time for Legálitas to become the leading legal services platform in Spain.
