Garrigues and Lawesome have advised in the sale of their company Embutidos Ríos to a group of family offices and prestigious businessmen, led by Whitehole.
Embutidos Ríos is a family business located in Villarcayo (Burgos), specialized in the production and commercialization of Burgos black pudding with PGI (Protected Geographical Indication). Founded in 1930, it is managed by the third generation of the family and has a team of 85 people and a turnover of over 10 million euros.
The Basque family office Whitehole, founded by Alejandro Ormazabal, specializes in investments in small and medium-sized companies. It does this by taking direct stakes in leading niche companies with high growth potential. This fund has led the acquisition of Embutidos Ríos to boost its development in the food sector. The founding family of Embutidos Ríos maintains part of its stake in the company and continues to manage it. Together with Whitehole, a large group of family offices and prestigious businessmen have participated in the operation.7
