Latham & Watkins announces leadership change in Spain
Latham & Watkins is set to undergo a leadership transition in its Madrid office, with Ignacio Pallarés taking over as Managing Partner in mid-March. According to firm sources and confirmed on their website, the official confirmation will take place during the global annual partners’ summit in Dallas on March 12. Pallarés will succeed Ignacio Gómez-Sancha, who will continue as a Corporate Partner at the firm.
Previously leading Latham & Watkins’ corporate practice in Spain, Pallarés has extensive experience advising private equity funds and multinational companies across all areas of corporate law, with a particular focus on complex cross-border M&A transactions.
A law graduate from the University of Barcelona, Pallarés also holds an LL.M. from Duke University School of Law. He regularly works with clients from key industries, including energy & infrastructure, entertainment, sports, media, leisure & luxury, and technology.
This leadership change reflects Latham & Watkins’ ongoing commitment to strengthening its position in Spain and reinforcing its expertise in high-value corporate and M&A transactions.
