Lancashire pension fund instructs Cuatrecasas on MRG deal
The UK-based Lancashire County Pension Fund (LCPF) was advised by Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira on the acquisition of a 12.5 per cent stake in Madrileña Red de Gas (MRG).
The transaction involved the negotiation of a partnership and shareholders agreement for the development and expansion of MRG’s gas business.
LCPF becomes a partner and a main shareholder in the gas company, formed by EDF Invest, Gingko Tree Investment, and the Dutch pension fund PGGM.
The Cuatrecasas team included partners Federico Roig, Luis Pérez de Ayala, and Rebeca Rodríguez as well as associates Pedro López-Dóriga, Guillermo Ruiz, and Marta López.
