KWM advises Villar Mir Energía on Zaragoza wind farms financing

A King & Wood Mallesons (KWM) team led by Joaquín Sales (pictured) advised Villar Mir Energía, part of Group Villar Mir, on the financing of two wind farms (Sotillo and Tablares) located in Zaragoza.

The project has been developed under the ‘turnkey’ model with Siemens Gamesa supplying the wind turbines.

The project financing has been structured with senior financing granted by Triodos Bank and with a bond issue by French fund FCT Quartz.

The two wind farms are expected to be in operation by the first half of 2020.

The KWM team advising Villar Mir Energía also included partner Germán Cabrera and associates María Redondo, Rosa Chen and Miguel Sarabia.
