King & Wood Mallesons has advised HISPASAT on the €112.5 million acquisition of AXESS Networks
King & Wood Mallesons has advised HISPASAT on the acquisition of AXESS Networks, a telecommunications company specialised in satellite services and with a strong presence in Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
The transaction, valued at more than €112.5 million, positions HISPASAT as a leader in the market of satellite solutions for telecommunications operators, corporate networks, and public administrations in Latin America.
The deal is part of the investment plan included in HISPASAT’S 2021-25 Strategic Plan and will allow the Spanish company to optimise its offer in segments such as the extension of cellular satellite networks, connectivity networks for corporate clients, or the digitization of remote areas in countries with large technological gaps.
The team of KWM that has participated in this deal was led by the Corporate partner Roberto Pomares (pictured left) and included the partner Ramón García Gallardo (pictured right) (Competition) and associates Rosa Chen (Corporate) and Sandra de Andrés (Employment).
