KPMG appoints Pedro León as Head of Family Business in Spain

KPMG has announced the appointment of Pedro León y Francia as the new Partner in charge of Family Business in Spain, further strengthening the firm’s commitment to fostering growth and innovation in this critical sector of the economy.

León y Francia brings over 30 years of professional services experience, having held executive roles advising public, private, and third-sector entities. He also leads KPMG Spain’s Board Leadership Center (BLC), overseeing initiatives related to boards of directors and board members, focusing on both strategic and training aspects.

In his new role, Pedro León y Francia highlighted the vital importance of family businesses in today’s rapidly transforming global landscape: “At KPMG, we help family businesses develop growth strategies and seize opportunities in this current context of transformation. Having a clear purpose is essential to ensure resilience and the long-term survival of family businesses,” he stated.

His approach aligns with KPMG’s recent report on family business growth, which underscores the significance of legacy as a key driver of success. According to the study, 42% of family businesses that prioritize legacy also achieve higher performance levels.
