KPMG advises on the acquisition of Vasyma and its subsidiary

KPMG has advised The Edrington Group on tax due diligence and tax structuring services in the context of the acquisition of a 100% share in the Spanish entity Vasyma (Vasyma) and its subsidiary Destiladores y Bodegueros (DyB).

Vasyma founded in 1987 and DyB in 1999 are both based in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) and specialized in the manufacture and bottling of American oak vats, as well as bulk sales and bottling of spirits (whiskey, rum, brandy…).

This operation follows Macallan’s acquisition of 50% of the Estévez Group and aims at ensuring a sustainable supply of oak barrels.
