KPMG advises Corpfin Capital on its acquisition of a stake in Grupo Montplet

Corpfin Capital has announced its entry into the shareholding structure of Grupo Montplet, Spain’s leading family-owned distributor of ethanol-based solutions for the perfumery, chemical, and pharmaceutical sectors. The company is also a manufacturer of disinfectants, pesticides, and cosmetics. KPMG Spain acted as the exclusive advisor on M&A and due diligence for the transaction.

This acquisition marks a new phase for Grupo Montplet, involving the expansion of its product range, the acceleration of its international presence, and the strengthening of its management team. Vanessa Monfort will retain her position as a major shareholder and lead the management of the business with her team, receiving strategic, operational and financial support from Corpfin Capital.

Founded in 1889 and based in Barcelona, the fifth-generation Montplet Group specialises in the distribution and manufacture of ethanol-derived products. Over the years, the group has diversified its original business and established a prominent international presence.

The KPMG Abogados team advised on the due diligence process. The team was led by partners Álvaro de Silva (Tax), Juan José Blanco (Tax), and Rafa Aguilar (Corporate), with the support of Guillermo Obradors Parra (Legal senior associate), Ramón Mouriño (Labour Director), and Guillermo Alonso (Labour Senior Manager). Also, Ana López Carrascal (Regulatory director) and Enrique Díaz – Mauriño (senior manager).
