KPMG Abogados advises Santander on €105m aircraft acquisition financing

KPMG Abogados has advised Banco Santander S.A. as agent bank on a financing transaction via financial leasing for the acquisition and subsequent leasing of six ATR 72-600 model aircraft for an aggregate amount of circa €105 million

The airline Binter has signed with the aeronautical manufacturer ATR the acquisition of five new 72-600 model aircraft, with an option for more units, thanks to a financing agreement with a banking consortium made up of the main Spanish banks (Banco Santander, Caixabank, BBVA…).

The new aircraft will join the fleet of the Canary Islands company, which operates one of the largest fleets of this aircraft in the world and will have 23 aircraft of this model, ATR 72-600, to provide services inter-island routes.
