KPMG Abogados advises lenders on Binter deal
KPMG Abogados has advised CaixaBank, BBVA and Banco Santander as lenders, with Banco Santander also acting as agent for the financing parties, in a transaction worth approximately €350 million related to the acquisition by Binter Canarias of nine Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. The deal was structured through a finance lease arrangement and is intended to support the modernization and expansion of Binter’s fleet.
The financing operation forms part of the aircraft fleet renewal process for Binter Canarias, the regional carrier based in the Canary Islands. The transaction involved the design, negotiation and execution of the legal structure needed for the acquisition, financing and guarantees required to close the deal.
