KPMG Abogados and Garrigues advise in the acquisition of a majority stake in Grupo Alacant

KPMG Abogados and Garrigues have advised on the transaction whereby Investindustrial, through its subsidiary Global Investments, has acquired a majority stake in Grupo Alacant, one of the leading independent ice cream producers in Spain. The transaction will enable Grupo Alacant to strengthen its production capacity and accelerate its international expansion, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the private label sector in Europe.

Grupo Alacant was founded in 1972, based in Alicante, and is one of the leading ice cream producers in Spain, mainly focused on private label and branded ice cream for large manufacturers in the ice cream industry.

KPMG Abogados has provided advisory services to Investindustrial on tax, legal, regulatory and labor matters. Ignacio Font (partner), Miguel Ferrández (partner), Ricardo López (director), Martí Tubau (senior manager) and Amanda Ramajo (senior manager) participated in the transaction on the tax side.
