JPAB launches new desk dedicated to agribusiness

JPAB – José Pedro Aguiar-Branco Advogados has launched a desk dedicated to agribusiness. The goal is to offer integrated and specialised legal solutions for companies and investors in the agri-food and forestry sectors, addressing the growing needs for modernisation, sustainability, and innovation in this market.

“The new Agribusiness Desk combines deep sector knowledge with a multidisciplinary and comprehensive approach. Key services include advice on national and European regulation, drafting and negotiating agricultural contracts, as well as support with acquisitions and mergers in the agricultural, forestry, and agri-food sectors”, informs JPAB. The new team is also prepared to assist with applications for tax incentives, develop specialised tax planning solutions for producers and investors, and provide representation in litigation related to land disputes, agricultural contracts, and rural property rights.

The new desk is coordinated by of counsel Ramiro Matos, a lawyer specialised in agribusiness with experience advising agricultural and forestry producers and investors. “The firm’s commitment is solid and long-term and will focus on supporting cooperatives, producers, processing companies, agrotech startups, investors, and public entities with excellent legal services tailored to the sector”, states Pedro Botelho Gomes, chairman of the board of directors.

The Agribusiness Desk is the fourth recently launched by JPAB, joining the Arab, Brazil, and Longevity+ desks in its portfolio of specialised services.
