Jones Day promotes Blanca Puyol to partner

Jones Day has promoted the of counsel Blanca Puyol to partner. This follows the firm’s global announcement to promote 51 of the firm’s lawyers to partner effective January 1, 2024.

Blanca Puyol has more than 20 years of experience advising national and multinational companies, investors and their portfolio companies, financial institutions, private equity and venture capital funds in a range of domestic and cross-border transactions, acquisitions, corporate restructurings and joint ventures. She represents emerging companies and their managers and investors in a variety of transactions, private and public mergers and acquisitions, shareholder agreements, spin-offs and other corporate matters, including the duties and liabilities of directors and officers. She also acts as secretary to the board of directors of many of the firm’s clients.

She advises on regulatory measures adopted by the Spanish Government in connection with numerous mergers and acquisitions transactions, including foreign direct investment (FDI) authorizations.

In addition, Blanca lectures on corporate directors’ liability as part of the Instituto de Empresa’s Law program. She is also diversity chair in the Madrid office.
