Jones Day instructed on Mapei acquisition in Colombia

Jones Day advised Italian manufacturer Mapei in the acquisition of Productos Bronco in Colombia.

Mapei is a Milan-headquartered multinational company that specializes in manufacturing chemical products for building, mortars, grouts, adhesives, and products for the installation of floor and wall coverings. Productos Bronco is based in Medellin and has operations in Colombia and Panama. The company manufactures waterproof painting, sealant and other products for the construction industry.

This cross-border deal, which included managing all the regulatory and transaction aspects, was structured as a share purchase, and is subject to customary holdbacks and purchase price adjustment mechanisms. The value of the transactions was not disclosed.
