João Peixe is the new partner at Vasconcelos Advogados

João Peixe (pictured) has been promoted as new partner at Vasconcelos Advogados, joining the other two partners, Duarte Vasconcelos and Felipe Martins Ferreira. João Peixe has been working with Vasconcelos Advogados since 2019 in the areas of Commercial Law, Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions and Intellectual Property. Since joining the firm, he has worked in direct collaboration with founding partner Duarte Vasconcelos in advising major clients and matters, having demonstrated from an early stage his ability to analyze and provide a technical framework, as well as to negotiate and execute complex matters.

Peixe’s background

João Peixe began his professional career as a trainee lawyer at Miranda and later as a trainee lawyer and associate at Antas da Cunha/ECIJA. His professional career already includes numerous international recognitions and recommendations, including three awards “Lawyer of the Year – IP&TMT” at the Iberian Lawyer Forty under 40 awards; Rising Star in “Copyright” at the IFLR Rising Stars EMEA 2022 awards; and “Lawyer of the Year in Portugal in Privacy and Data Protection” at the Lexology Client Choice Awards 2022. He was also recognized as a “Notable Practitioner” by the international publication IP Stars and as a ‘Global Leader’ by IAM Strategy 300. João Peixe is currently Co-Chair of the KnowledgeNet Chapter of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) in Lisbon.
