J+Legal advises Decskill on controlling stake sale

J+Legal advised the founders of Decskill, Luís Fernandes and Luís Santos, in the sale of a controlling stake in a multinational engineering and technology consultancy firm. The transaction value, which remains confidential, marks an important step in the growth of Decskill, a Portuguese IT outsourcing company.

J+Legal has provided comprehensive legal advice, from identifying investors to executing contracts, covering the structuring of the sale and the negotiation of the purchase and sale agreements, as well as the shareholder agreement. The founders remain in leadership positions at Decskill, strengthening their partnership with the Astek Group to drive the company’s international expansion.

The advisors

The advisory to the sellers involved a multidisciplinary team. On the tax side, the process was coordinated by Jaime Carvalho Esteves, the lead tax partner, with the support of Manuel da Gama Quaresma (senior associate).
