Munia El Harti Alonso

Munia El Harti’s professional career is distinguished by her solid track record representing oil and gas companies in litigation against States, leading arbitrations under, among others, ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL rules in post-M&A shareholder disputes, and enforcing multi-million dollar awards before federal courts in the United States. She has also provided strategic advice on corporate restructuring processes based on Investment Treaties (Treaty Advice), which gives him a key added value for the firm’s clients. She acts in proceedings in Spanish, English, French and is Portuguese-speaking.

Moreover, she is admitted to the French section of the Brussels Bar (List B) and to the New York State Bar. Throughout her career, she has held positions of great responsibility in prestigious law firms in Mexico, Ecuador and the United States. Currently, she complements her professional practice as Vice President of the Spanish and Ibero-American Arbitration Club French Chapter. As well, with a teaching position at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she lectures on environmental litigation.

Formation

In addition, the lawyer has an academic background in international law and arbitration. She graduated with an LL.M. from Georgetown University Law Center. She is also specialized in international economic law at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, where she obtained academic distinctions.

Also, her training includes certifications in international commercial arbitration from the International Chamber of Commerce and in private and public international law from The Hague Academy of International Law.
