Ignacio Cacho, new finance and real estate partner of Martínez-Echevarría

Martínez-Echevarría has hired Ignacio Cacho, from Watson Farley and Williams, as a financial and real estate partner, to work both in Spain and for the firm’s offices in Portugal.

The lawyer specializes in both real estate law and advising on financing related to real estate projects. Prior to joining Martínez-Echevarría, Cacho has worked at firms such as Clifford Chance, DLA and Watson Farley. In these firms his areas of work have been mainly legal advice to national and international clients in real estate transactions, such as leveraged acquisitions of real estate assets (shopping centers, hotels, land, offices and logistics assets), and in financings and refinancings with a real estate component or of companies operating in this sector. Legal advice to lenders, financial institutions and real estate investment funds in the financing of real estate projects, as well as land and logistics assets.

Cacho has also provided legal advice from a real estate and land development point of view to companies and financial institutions in strategic operations in the energy sector for the purchase and sale and financing of all types of renewable assets (wind, biomass, photovoltaic, solar thermal, etc.).

He holds a degree in Law from the University of Navarra with a Diploma in Economic Law from the same university in collaboration with IESE.
