ICAM Launches Dual Master’s Program in Labor Law

The Ilustre Colegio de la Abogacía de Madrid (ICAM) has launched a new Master’s program in Labor Law through its Centro de Estudios. This initiative solidifies ICAM’s commitment to dual legal training, strategically integrating the Labor Law Master’s with the Master’s in Legal Practice. The combined programs aim to equip students with specialized and comprehensive education that meets current market demands.

The Master’s program is led by Javier Hervás Martínez, Partner and Head of the Labor Law Department at KPMG Abogados. Hervás is a prominent figure in labor law, known for his expertise in corporate restructuring, collective negotiations, and high-profile labor disputes. His leadership brings practical, cutting-edge insights to the program, ensuring that students gain both theoretical knowledge and real-world skills.

Joining Hervás in the academic leadership are María Rosario Cristóbal Roncero, Professor of Labor Law at Complutense University of Madrid, and Ignasi Beltrán de Heredia Ruiz, Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. This prestigious academic team ensures that the program offers top-tier education aligned with industry needs.

In addition to the Labor Law Master’s, ICAM is launching a new course in September focused on supporting people with disabilities in judicial processes. This course prepares legal professionals to act as expert facilitators, a newly regulated role crucial for ensuring equal access to justice for all citizens.
