Holland & Knight advised Puebla on PPP Deal

Holland & Knight acted for the Mexican state of Puebla in a public-private project (PPP) to build an aviary.

The aviary was granted in concession by the State of Puebla through its governmental entity Convenciones y Parques. The project was funded with an initial investment of MXN$28 million, made by the government and the concessionary. The state of Puebla will receive a portion of the income generated by the admission fees.

The aviary was built inside the city of Puebla’s ecological park, “Revolución Mexicana” and has an area of 22,000 square meters. It will be home to 1,500 animals of more than 50 species.

Partner Antonio Casares led the Holland & Knight team advising the state of Puebla.
