Hogan Lovells advises on the acquisition of Glass Chemicals
A Hogan Lovells team led by Alex Dolmans has advised Calibre Scientific, the life sciences division of US fund StoneCalibre, on the acquisition of spanish company Glass Chemicals, a comprehensive supplier of reagents, materials and speciality laboratory equipment.
Glass Chemicals is StoneCalibre’s second acquisition in Spain and marks the expansion of its presence in the spanish market where it now has offices and warehouses in the key regions of Madrid and Barcelona.
StoneCalibre’s entry into the iberian market was made effective with the acquisition, before the summer, of Serviquimia, a company that offers products and services to the academic world and the research, petrochemical and environmental sectors, on which Hogan Lovells also provide advice.
In both operations the team was formed by Mariana Blanco, Adrián Fernández (corporate M&A/commercial); Emilio Gómez and Aránzazu López (real estate); Álvaro Abad and Raúl Matute (regulatory); Luis Enrique de la Villa and Laura Cerezo (labour); and Cristina Barón and Joanna Rozanska (IPMT).
From other Hogan Lovells offices they regularly advise StoneCalibre on acquisitions in other countries, particularly in France and Brazil.
