Hogan Lovells advises Multiply Group on Tendam acquisition
Hogan Lovells has advised Multiply Group on its acquisition of a 67.91% majority stake in Tendam from private equity firms CVC and PAI Partners. Tendam, led by Jaume Miquel, is Spain’s second-largest fashion group by market share and owns well-known international brands including Cortefiel, Springfield, Women’secret, and Pedro del Hierro.
The deal was signed and closed at Hogan Lovells’ Madrid office, with the firm’s Corporate/M&A team advising Multiply Group throughout the transaction. The team was led by partners Alex Dolmans, Enrique de Pablos, and Hugo Muñoz, alongside junior associate Rocío Torres. Antitrust and foreign direct investment (FDI) aspects were handled by partner Casto González-Páramo and senior associate Raquel Fernández. The matter also involved lawyers from the firm’s Madrid, Luxembourg, and Mexico City offices.
Multiply Group, led by Samia Bouazza, was also advised by its in-house legal team, led by Ruchi Sharma. Greenhill acted as M&A advisor, while KPMG provided financial and tax advisory services. Uría Menéndez, Latham & Watkins, and Hermosilla Abogados advised the sellers and the company.
The acquisition of Tendam’s operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina remains subject to approval by the local competition authority.
