Herbert Smith Freehills to Appoint Jaime Bofill for Insurance
Herbert Smith Freehills is set to appoint Jaime Bofill to lead its insurance practice. Bofill, previously the head of insurance, reinsurance, and innovation at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo, and before that at Hogan Lovells, brings extensive expertise to his new role.
Bofill holds a law degree from the University of Navarra and an LL.M from the Instituto de Empresa. His specialization includes insurance and reinsurance, financial institutions, retail banking, payment services, as well as fintech and insurtech sectors.
He is also an expert in regulatory matters and has significant experience dealing with the Directorate-General for Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP). Bofill represents numerous insurance companies in litigation and regulatory issues, having handled various proceedings before the Bank of Spain and the CNMV.
