Gruppo Mastrotto in the acquisition of the majority of Coindu: Advisors
Gruppo Mastrotto, a world leader in the leather processing industry founded in 1958 in Italy, has acquired a majority stake in Coindu – Componentes Para A Indústria Automóvel, – a company founded in 1988 in Portugal and today a leader in the design and production of high quality automotive interiors, with production plants in Portugal, Mexico and Tunisia and over 3000 employees – by subscribing to a capital increase aimed at supporting the relaunch and growth of the company.
With this complex cross-border operation, Coindu becomes part of a leading group in the leather sector, consolidating its financial and operational stability. For Gruppo Mastrotto, the transaction aims to enhance the company’s ability to offer complete solutions for automotive interiors and strengthen its competitive position in the global market.
The Gomes family will retain a minority stake in Coindu and the former management will continue to play a strategic role in the company.
