Gonzalo Navarro Ruiz, Crowe’s new partner in Spain

Gonzalo Navarro Ruiz has joined Crowe as a partner in the financial regulation and capital markets practice. He joins from Ontier, where he led the firm’s practice in the same area.

Gonzalo has extensive experience advising on financial regulatory matters, working with financial institutions and investment funds. His work covers a wide range of regulatory issues and proceedings, as well as interactions with supervisory authorities. He also advises companies on access to capital markets and on raising financing through new structures, including the issuance of tokenised financial instruments.

Before joining Crowe, he spent nine years as a financial regulatory lawyer at Bolsas y Mercados Españoles Group (the operator of Spain’s securities markets and post-trade infrastructures). He subsequently played a key role in obtaining regulatory authorisation for Portfolio Stock Exchange, a new and pioneering securities market in Spain, where he served for three years as legal and compliance director and data protection officer.
