Gómez-Acebo & Pombo appoints four new partners

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, the firm led by Íñigo Erláiz, has approved the appointment of Clara Rivero, Diego Martínez Colino and Jorge Martín as partners in Spain, as well as Álvaro Sainz as a partner in the London office. The appointments were ratified at the ordinary partners’ meeting held on Thursday.

Clara Rivero

Clara Rivero will be a commercial law partner specialising in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, commercial contracts and corporate law. She is also a member of the firm’s French Desk.

Diego Martínez Colino

Diego Martínez Colino will be a commercial law partner specialising in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), commercial contracts and corporate law, with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sectors, where he regularly advises leading national and international clients. He is also a member of the firm’s China Desk.

Jorge Martín

Jorge Martín Sainz will be a partner in the Commercial Law practice and specialises in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), with a particular focus on advising private equity funds and all types of financial investors. He will also continue to develop the firm’s private equity practice.

Álvaro Sainz

Alvaro Sainz will be a banking and finance partner in the London office. He specialises in complex debt restructurings, project finance, cross-border finance, debt analysis and distressed debt acquisitions/disposals.
