Gómez-Acebo & Pombo advises Towa on the acquisition of Pensa

Gomez-Acebo & Pombo advised Towa Pharmaceutical on the acquisition of Pensa Investments, the generics division of the Spanish pharmaceutical company ESTEVE

The value of the deal is €320 million in a single cash advance payment. This acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of January 2020.

Towa Pharmaceutical CO. is an Osaka-based company specialized in generic drugs and dedicated to the research and development, production, and marketing of generic drugs since 1951.

ESTEVE is a global pharmaceutical company based in Barcelona (Spain). Pensa Investments, S.L. is the legal entity that provides affiliate pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in Martorell (Spain), including pharmaceutical development, and operates generic commercial subsidiaries in Europe and the United States.
