Gianpaolo Alessandro to Step Down as Unicredit General Counsel
News at the top of Unicredit: as of next 12 April, according to the editorial staff of Inhousecommunity.it, Gianpaolo Alessandro (pictured) will leave the group’s legal department, where he holds the position of general counsel, as well as the position of secretary to the board of directors.
It has not yet been announced who will take his place, nor what his next role will be.
Alessandro had joined Unicredit in September 2013 as head of corporate affairs & board secretary office. On 1 December 2014 he had been appointed co-head of group legal while retaining responsibility as board secretary. On 1 January 2016 he had been appointed general counsel of the Unicredit group and, as such, was part of the group executive committee with the title of senior executive vice president. In May 2021, he was confirmed again in the role of group legal officer and secretary of the board of directors.
