Garrigues partner leaves for Miranda

Lisbon-based Garrigues partner João Rosado Correia has left the firm to join Miranda & Associados.

Rosado Correia was head of public law, energy and environment at Garrigues, a firm where he had been partner for nine years.

He was previously a partner at Rui Pena, Arnaut & Associados.

At Miranda, Rosado Correia will focus on international energy, procurement and project finance matters, including public-private partnerships and environmental law issues.

Diogo Xavier Da Cunha, managing partner of Miranda, said: “João is without a doubt a leading energy and projects lawyers and has over 25 years’ experience. He brings with him a wealth of expertise which we believe will add to the firm’s existing capabilities particularly in the international energy markets, where we are increasingly active in projects across Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and Asia.”
