García Carbonell integrates Ensis Legal and García Blanca Abogados

Ensis Legal and García Blanca Abogados have merged and will practise under the García Carbonell name, the historic brand of a firm founded in Albacete in 1947. The merged firm has 12 lawyers and a multidisciplinary structure focused on business law.

García Carbonell brings together professionals in tax, commercial, insolvency, white-collar crime, administrative, labour and social security, civil liability and insurance, and new technologies and data protection law. According to the firm, this combination lets it handle the legal questions that arise in a company’s activity in a coordinated way, from day-to-day management to corporate transactions, restructuring processes and disputes.

Ensis Legal, which originated in the García Carbonell firm in 2022, brings experience advising companies in commercial, tax, insolvency and administrative law. It also has experience in sectors such as industry, energy and family businesses. Julio García Cantó, a lawyer since 2009, advises on employment, contracting and civil liability, and also specialises in digital law and new technologies.

García Blanca Abogados, founded in 2000, contributes its practice in labour and social security law. Its founder, José Manuel García Blanca, has more than 36 years of experience in the field, first in the trade union sphere and later in the private sector. He has taken part in numerous collective redundancy procedures in the public and private sectors and in collective and individual litigation for individuals and companies. His work also covers criminal and administrative litigation related to employment and social security law, and he has taught at several universities and training institutes.

Partners’ perspective

“With this merger we are shaping a project that aims to stand out in the legal market of Albacete and its province through the breadth of its specialisms. We want García Carbonell to be a firm that companies can turn to in order to resolve the different legal issues that arise in their activity, with the same team of professionals,” says Julio García Cantó, partner at García Carbonell.

“The union of both firms allows us to pool our experience and work in a coordinated way on matters that affect different areas of law. Employment issues are closely linked to many of the decisions companies take, and having professionals from different specialisms will allow us to offer more complete advice,” says José Manuel García Blanca, partner at García Carbonell.
