Gaona strengthens Badajoz office with new hires

Gaona, a partner firm of RocaJunyent_Grupo with offices in Seville, Málaga, and Extremadura, has announced the incorporation of María Ángeles Ugalde Ortiz and Laura Aradilla Marín into its Badajoz office. This move is part of the firm’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Andalusia and Extremadura. Gaona opened its Extremadura office in 2021, led by Juan José Torres Ventosa, former State Attorney.

Aradilla Marín specializes in commercial and healthcare law. She was founding partner and CEO of Nova Curia Abogados y Auditores, as well as a legal advisor to the Badajoz Medical Association. Her career includes leading the commercial law department in firms operating in Badajoz, Madrid, and Mérida, along with her work in training programs on informed consent in the healthcare field. She is also qualified as a bankruptcy administrator.

Ugalde Ortiz, currently practicing in Badajoz, focuses on civil law. She is a member of the Ethics Committee of the Badajoz Bar Association and has been a speaker at legal conferences on legislative reforms. Her career includes serving as a judge and court clerk on temporary appointments in various courts across Extremadura, as well as a term as a member of the Extremadura Regional Assembly.

With these incorporations, Gaona seeks to expand and diversify its range of services, while continuing to advance in digital transformation, talent recruitment, and strengthening its competitiveness in sectors demanding specialization, transversal approaches, and technology—such as the public sector and mid-sized companies.

Earlier this year, the firm also welcomed Ignacio García Peredo as a partner specializing in public law and Marcos Peña in the administrative law practice.
