GA_P assists Komon on a €1.86 million financing round

The law firm, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, has assisted Komon in closing a €1.86 million financing round to launch artist communities via NFT.

Komon, the company led by Sebastián Fernández-Medrano and Manuel Bevilacqua, offers all kinds of artists (musicians, actors, writers, streamers, visual artists, photographers, etc) a platform through which to launch a personal and verified space for their community and generate a limited number of NFTs that function as access keys to it.

On this occasion, it has closed a pre-seed funding round of €1.86 million. Among the investors that have participated in the round are the venture capital funds Samaipata, Adara Ventures, Inveready and Shilling. Several business angels with extensive experience in the world of Web3 and the management of content creators and artists have also participated.

“Most of our friends are artists and we have experienced first-hand how difficult it is to make a living from their work. That’s why we’ve always wanted to launch a company at the intersection of creativity and technology. We are launching Komon to put our professional expertise at the service of artists,” said both founders.

The round will be used to hire the team in Europe and the United States and to develop the platform, which already has more than 100 artists.

GA_P’s team assisting this deal was formed by the Partner, Álvaro Mateo (pictured left) and the lawyer, Patricia Pérez.
