GA_P appoints Estibaliz Aranburu as new head of the Bilbao office

Leading Spanish law firm Gómez-Acebo & Pombo continues to bolster its national team with the appointment of Estibaliz Aranburu (pictured) as the Director of its Bilbao office. Aranburu, currently a partner in the Corporate Law department, assumes this role as part of the firm’s strategic efforts to fortify its presence in the Basque Country.

This development follows the recent appointments that underscore the firm’s commitment to reinforcing its nationwide capabilities. Aitor Soloeta was named Of Counsel and Head of the Tax department in Bilbao a few months ago, and just last week, Rafael Aguilera (read here) was promoted to the position of Coordinating Partner for Banking and Finance in the Madrid office.

Estibaliz Aranburu’s new role as Director in Bilbao comes as a natural progression, succeeding Enrique Lucas, who retired in December 2023. Aranburu, with her extensive experience in Corporate Law, is expected to contribute significantly to the firm’s growth and strengthening of its position in the Basque Country.
