GA_P advises The Navigator Company on a tissue paper business
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised the Portuguese listed company The Navigator Company on the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Gomà-Camps Consumer and its subsidiary Gomà-Camps France.
This acquisition is part of a growth and diversification plan by The Navigator Company and will lead to its integration and positioning as the second largest manufacturer of tissue paper in the Iberian Peninsula, and the closing of the transaction, which is expected to take place on 28 February, is subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions precedent.
The transaction has been led by Álvaro Mateo Sixto, mercantil partner in the Madrid office, Carolina Posse Van der Laat and Irene Romero Teba, mercantil associates in the Barcelona office, Nuno Oliveira García, fiscal partner in the Lisbon office and Mafalda Barreto, mercantil partner in the Lisbon office.
Also participating in the operation were: María Meseguer Guimera, Claudia Curell Mompó and Iñigo Valdenebro Monzón, mercantile associates, Lourdes Escassi and Carmen Abad Peralta, of counsel and associate of Labour, Irene Medina de Alba, associate of banking and finance, Mercedes Ferrer Bernal and Elisa Gómez-Bernardo, associates of industrial property, Sofía Sáenz de Valluerca Solana, associate for real estate, Marta Rey Pinedo, Ester Abascal Iglesias and Ignacio Álvarez Serrano, associates for public law, and Miguel Troncoso Ferrer and Laura Lence de Frutos, partner and associate for competition in the Brussels office.
