GA_P Advises on the sale of Bodegas Viña Mayor to Sogrape

Portuguese company Sogrape is expanding its footprint in Spain through the acquisition of Viña Mayor winery from Entrecanales Domecq e Hijos, located in the renowned ‘Golden Mile’ of Ribera del Duero. This strategic move aims to develop a premium project in the region, as outlined in their official statement.

Continuing the legacy established by Entrecanales Domecq e Hijos, Sogrape, the largest Portuguese wine company, intends to leverage its robust distribution network to enhance and promote the Viña Mayor brand both within Spain and internationally. As part of the agreement, EDH will retain the Secreto brand, serving as its flagship in Ribera del Duero.
