GA_P advises on the €5m financing of Barkibu

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Banco Sabadell in the €5m venture debt financing of Barkibu, the leading pet insurance company in Spain.

The transaction has been carried out through Sabadell group entities Venture Capital and Venture Debt SVC and has been co-financed by the EIB (European Investment Bank).

The pet insurance start up, which so far only operates in Spain and Germany, expects with this new financing to expand its business to the international market.

The GA_P team that has advised on the transaction has been formed by Álex Pujol, María Meseguer and José Manuel Sánchez, partner and associates of the commercial team of the Barcelona office.
