GA_P advises Indra on €96.6M BPO divestment

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised Indra on the sale of its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) business to the Basque technology company Teknei for €96.6 million. The deal covers Indra’s business services outsourcing unit in Spain, Portugal, Italy and several Latin American countries, including Peru, Colombia, Chile and Mexico.

The transaction forms part of Indra’s strategic plan and aligns with the group’s strategy to divest non-core assets within the Minsait division, in order to focus on higher value-added, more profitable areas such as defence, aerospace and advanced digital technologies, states the law firm.

The GA_P team was led by Guillermo Guerra and Irene Carreño, partner and associate of the corporate team, and included Guillermo Menéndez and Marta del Toro, associates from the same team. The firm also drew on the support of Rocío Arias and Zuriñe Martínez, counsel and associate from the tax team, and Andrew Ward and Victoria Rivas, partner and associate from the competition team.
