Freshfields appoints José Luis Prieto as counsel
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has appointed José Luis Prieto as counsel in the Dispute Resolution area, among 31 new counsel from all the firm’s practice areas across multiple regions
According to the law firm, “The new counsel bring a depth and breadth of experience. They represent the firm’s most senior lawyers who are not partners.”
José Luis Prieto (pictured), Disputes, Litigation and Arbitration senior associate until now, has been named counsel among other 31 colleagues from multiple practices and regions.
José Luis Prieto Bermejo started his professional career as an associate at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, joining Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in 2007 as a senior associate. Now, 14 years later, he has been appointed counsel in the same practice. He also has been an associate professor at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid for the last 13 years. Graduated in Law from the Universidad de Salamanca, he got his LLM from Nottingham Trent University.
