Freshfields advises Amadeus on €742m Navitaire acquisition

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer advised Spain´s Amadeus IT Group on its acquisition of US-based Navitaire, a provider of outsourced technology services to around 50 airlines.

The deal was valued at around €742 million, according to Mergermarket data.

Navitaire – which works for a number of airline industry clients including Ryanair, AirAsia and Brazil´s Gol – was a wholly owned subsidiary of Accenture.

A Navitaire statement said: “The addition of Navitaire’s portfolio of products and solutions for the low-cost segment will complement Amadeus’ Altéa suite of offerings for its largely full-service carrier customer base, giving the company the ability to serve a wider group of airlines.”
