Francisco Rodrigues Rocha new partner of GPA Advogados

The law firm GPA (Gouveia Pereira, Costa Freitas & Associados – Sociedade de Advogados) has announced the appointment as partner, effective November 2023, of its of counsel Francisco Rodrigues Rocha. GPA Advogados will now have eight partners.

Head of the transport and maritime area and co-director of compliance in the banking, financial and insurance sectors

Francisco Rodrigues Rocha will be head of the transport and maritime areas and co-director of compliance in the banking, financial and insurance sectors. He is a lawyer and holds a PhD from the Law School of the University of Lisbon, where he is a visiting assistant professor.

Francisco Rodrigues Rocha has been collaborating with GPA Law Firm since 2012, where he completed his internship and was also an associate lawyer. He has worked in various areas, especially in insurance law and pension funds, with special emphasis on advising financial intermediaries, including credit institutions, private equity companies, collective investment undertakings and private equity funds, on regulatory and corporate matters, as well as on the follow-up of administrative infringements before the supervisory authorities.

He is the author of more than 70 publications in various legal areas, including insurance law, banking law, corporate law, maritime law, transport law, data protection law and consumer law.
