Four-partner Ramón y Cajal team leave for Pinsent Masons
Pinsent Masons has announced it will be opening an office in Madrid after recruiting a four-partner team from Ramón y Cajal.
The partners joining Pinsent Masons are corporate specialists Diego Lozano, Antonio Sánchez Montero and Inma Castello, as well as banking expert Idoya Arteagabeitia.
The Pinsent Masons Madrid office will also include partners Ricardo Garcia – who joins from an in-house position at contractor OHL – and Sofia Parra, who will relocate from the firm’s London office.
A firm statement said the partners would be developing a practice “around the firm’s global sectors of advanced manufacturing and technology, financial services and infrastructure”.
Richard Foley, senior partner of Pinsent Masons, said of the hires: “We have found a team in Madrid which not only exudes quality but also shares our sector-focussed vision.
“In particular, they share our passion for innovating for and with our clients to redefine the landscape for private practice. We are looking forward to bringing a very different type of law firm to Spain.”
