Foment del Treball integrates BDO Abogados

Foment del Treball has incorporated BDO Abogados as a new member of the organization, aiming to reinforce discussions on business competitiveness and regulatory affairs. The firm brings its experience in legal, tax and business advisory services at a time marked by regulatory challenges and the need to improve the competitiveness of companies operating in Spain.

BDO Abogados is an international professional services firm with a background in legal, tax, financial and business advisory work. Its addition to Foment del Treball is intended to strengthen the association’s knowledge base as companies face an increasingly complex regulatory environment, with new compliance, tax and regulatory requirements, states BDO.

Meeting in Barcelona

The incorporation was formalized during a meeting held in Barcelona. Foment del Treball was represented by its president, Josep Sánchez Llibre, and its secretary general, David Tornos. BDO Abogados was represented by its president, Enrique Azorín; Adolfo Soria, partner in the firm’s legal area; Àngel Serret, director of the Public Law and Urban Planning department; and Jordi Torras, partner in the Outsourcing area at the Barcelona office.

Sánchez Llibre said that the incorporation of BDO Abogados “brings an expert perspective on issues that are fundamental to business competitiveness, including taxation, legal certainty, regulatory compliance and organizational efficiency”. Azorín, for his part, underlined “the importance of working together with business organizations to help generate a more favorable environment for economic activity and corporate decision-making”.
