First State instructs Linklaters on Vopak acquisitions

Linklaters’ Madrid office advised asset manager First State Investments on the acquisition of three oil terminals – Vopak Algeciras, Vopak Terminal Amsterdam Westpoort and Vopak Dupeg Terminal Hamburg – from Vopak.

The transaction was valued at €723 million.

First State Investments is the international arm of Colonial First State Global Asset Management (First State), a global asset manager with in excess of €127 billion managed on behalf of investors.

The Linklaters team included partner Lara Hemzaoui (pictured), managing associate Jorge Toral, associate Ramiro Fernández, and lawyer Fernando Carretero.
