Fils hires Blanca Soler and Ricardo Muñoz
The Spanish law firm Fils has taken on Blanca Soler, previously the director of legal affairs at Antai Venture Builder, and Ricardo Muñoz, former manager of the Tax area of M&A and Private Equity transactions at PwC and an entrepreneur, with the aim of strengthening its advice to startup companies in all phases of the development cycle and reinforcing their M&A capabilities.
Before joining Fils, Blanca Soler led Antai Venture Builder’s legal support to twenty portfolio companies for the past seven years, as well as molding the legal structure for this factory of successful digital companies, including Glovo and Wallapop. For Soler, “legal advice should not be an obstacle but a way to keep moving forward. That requires professionalism and pragmatism, which is what FILS offers to both entrepreneurs and large companies”.
Ricardo Muñoz, who spent most of his career at KPMG and PwC, has had a role as a tax lawyer and entrepreneur over the last few years, having been one of the founders of sitandplug, a real estate platform dedicated to the online search for offices. Muñoz believes that “taxation requires raising potential issues that companies are not taking into account, which is motivating for both startups and large companies, especially if they are facing corporate transactions. I join FILS with the aim of offering a vision that is not only that of a lawyer but also that of an entrepreneur”.
Both Blanca Soler and Ricardo Muñoz will be, respectively, counsels of the Corporate and M&A, and the Tax departments.
Fils Legal, founded in Barcelona and soon to celebrate its fifth anniversary, seeks to attract talent from large legal and consulting firms, as well as from the business world, in order to offer pragmatic and agile advice which differentiates itself from the rest of the market. Currently, it employs more than 30 lawyers.
