FILS advises Tropicfeel on a €5m funding round
FILS has advised the spanish start-up Tropicfeel on a €5 million funding round that has been subscribed by the social impact investment fund Fondo Bolsa Social as a new investor and the VC firm Ona Capital, which is an existing shareholder.
By this deal, the company plans to invest in the diversification of its sales channels to maintain the firm’s current growth pace, which is above 50% on a yearly basis. Also, in 2022, Tropicfeel increased revenue by 80% year-over-year, up to €22 million.
Founded in Barcelona in 2017 by Alberto Espinós, Tropicfeel looks foward to inspire conscious travel and positive change through responsible travel gear. Nowadays, it also seeks to strengthen its presence in its main markets -Spain, the US, the UK and Germany-, and expand in other markets where there is still significant growth potential.
The team from FILS advising Tropicfeel was formed by Carlos Gerpe (partner, pictured), Maria Rodrigo (senior associate) and Blanca Espín (associate).
