Fieldfisher expands into Poland with two new offices
Fieldfisher continues its European growth strategy with the launch of two new offices in Poland, officially opening in Warsaw and Krakow on 8 May 2025.
The new Polish presence—Fieldfisher Poland—will open with a team of 32 professionals, including five partners, one senior counsel, six counsels, 13 lawyers, and seven business services professionals. The team joins from local firms B2R Law and LSW and will be co-led by Rafał Stroiński and Piotr Szelenbaum as Country Managing Partners. They will be joined by partners Roman Iwański, Marcin Huczkowski, and Krzysztof Marzyński, Senior Counsel Andrzej Zająz, and Business Development and Operations Director Adam Piwakowski.
Fieldfisher Poland will offer a full range of legal services, covering corporate and M&A, capital markets, dispute resolution, technology, IP, real estate, tax, and finance. The team brings with it a robust client portfolio spanning tech companies, energy providers, investment groups, corporations, and manufacturers. Their focus on fast-growing sectors like technology and renewable energy aligns closely with Fieldfisher’s sector strategy.
Ranked fifth globally for foreign direct investment in new projects, Poland has become a prime destination for international business and one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. This move gives Fieldfisher a strong foothold in the dynamic Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. Combined with its established presence in Germany and Austria, the firm is now well-positioned to capture growth opportunities tied to infrastructure investment, innovation, and sustainable development.
Robert Shooter, Managing Partner at Fieldfisher, commented:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Fieldfisher Poland into our international network. With its large domestic market, strong export performance and high levels of foreign investment, Poland is a promising business environment. This expansion strengthens our Central and Eastern European footprint and enhances our platform for clients and investors in the region. I’m delighted to have Rafał, Piotr and the whole team onboard as we open this exciting new chapter.”
Rafał Stroiński, Co-Managing Partner of Fieldfisher Poland, added:
“Piotr and I are very pleased to join Fieldfisher and lead its operations in Poland. By working closely with our colleagues across the network, we’ll be able to combine deep local insight with the firm’s international reach, offering clients truly integrated legal support. We look forward to growing Fieldfisher’s presence in Poland in the years ahead.”
This move is part of Fieldfisher’s broader strategy to become the leading European law firm, operating in key jurisdictions across the continent. Following recent expansions into Austria and Italy, the opening of Fieldfisher Poland brings the firm’s total to 25 offices across 13 countries, strengthening its multijurisdictional capabilities across Europe.
