Fieldfisher appoints Cruz Amado as partner in Restructuring and Insolvency
Fieldfisher announces the appointment of Cruz Amado, formerly of Deloitte, as a new partner in the Restructuring and Insolvency practice in its Madrid office. With this appointment, the firm strengthens its practice in Spain, which already benefits from the experience of Tomás Nart, a partner in the same department in the Barcelona office.
Cruz Amado
Amado joins Fieldfisher from Deloitte, where she was director of the Restructuring and Insolvency team. Previously, she held the position of director in KPMG’s Litigation and Insolvency Department.
Throughout her career, the new partner has developed solid expertise in restructuring processes, insolvency situations, cross-border insolvencies, and special situations. She has extensive experience in proceedings involving companies in financial difficulties (insolvency, restructuring, and related litigation) with implications for capital markets and structured finance.
She is currently pursuing her doctorate in preventive restructuring frameworks. She is also the author of several publications, a speaker at specialised forums, and a collaborator at Carlos III University in Madrid, as well as a member of the faculty of various specialization programs in restructuring.
Rodrigo Martos, managing partner of the firm, notes that “With Cruz’s arrival, we are expanding our presence in a strategic area and strengthening Fieldfisher’s position as a leading firm in restructuring and insolvency, both in the domestic and international markets. Her incorporation reflects our commitment to attracting the best talent to offer a differentiated service to our clients.”
