Fernando Soto, new real estate partner at GA_P
Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has appointed Fernando Soto as a new partner in its real estate practice. Soto, who joins from Freshfields, brings experience advising on real estate M&A, portfolio acquisitions and disposals, NPLs, loan-to-own transactions, sale & leaseback deals, joint ventures, lease agreements, hotel management contracts, as well as insolvency and restructuring proceedings involving real estate assets.
He also has experience in the creation, acquisition, and development of student housing and logistics platforms. Soto joins the team led by Enrique Isla, which includes Jaime Díaz de Bustamante and Natalia Lastres, partner and counsel of the practice respectively, along with a team of more than 20 lawyers based across the firm’s offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Lisbon.
