Fernando Álvarez de Toledo joins Secuoya Studios as head of business and legal affairs
Secuoya Studios, a content creation, development, production, and distribution studio within Secuoya Content Group, has announced the appointment of Fernando Álvarez de Toledo, formerly of Garrigues, as its new Head of Business and Legal Affairs, thereby strengthening its executive team with a figure who has extensive experience in the legal and entertainment fields. Álvarez de Toledo will work under the direction of Brendan Fitzgerald, CEO of Secuoya Studios, and Carlos López Martín de Blas, general counsel of the group.

With a solid background in the audiovisual and legal sector, Álvarez de Toledo brings extensive experience in contract negotiation, intellectual property and entertainment law. Before joining Secuoya, he practiced for more than six years as an intellectual property lawyer at Garrigues and has combined his legal work with independent production through Tierra de por Medio, a project he has been involved in since 2022.
A graduate in philosophy and law from the University of Navarra, and with research experience in contemporary aesthetics, his profile combines legal knowledge with creativity that positions him as a strategic asset within Secuoya’s content ecosystem.
In his new role, Álvarez will lead the studio’s legal and commercial affairs areas, negotiating and promoting production, distribution and international co-production agreements, as well as the legal consolidation of the group’s projects.
